You've got the DaLorean that can do 88 MPH, right? A time machine of some kind, with 1.21 jigawatts needed to send you back to the future!?!? Weird.

What will be even more weird is if Wulff survives 4-8. That obviously means one more W, and checking out the schedule it's hard to find it. Maybe it comes like last year's win over OSU, totally out of the blue. I still think Utah can be had. But that's about it. You just might get your 4-8 season after all! You already got Tuel's "injury riddled" junior year. :0Sean Hawkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14501295697118200428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6351948135288371093.post-30561981496414613852011-10-24T10:15:03.364-07:002011-10-24T10:15:03.364-07:00Just caught the first few minutes of the Bill Moos...Just caught the first few minutes of the Bill Moos show. And boy is he trying to support the coaching staff. To be sure, the hammer will probably fall, but you can tell that is the LAST thing that Moos wants to do right now. Translation: I don't think he likes the list of alternatives much...The Coug-A-Sutrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11890686795098169533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6351948135288371093.post-41494983049197439442011-10-24T08:46:56.688-07:002011-10-24T08:46:56.688-07:00Again, I think you're right, but with one cave...Again, I think you're right, but with one caveat: Where does Bland play right now, if at all? I mean, I look to next year, and he has no where to go. Unless, of course, we're playing a 3-4, then he has a place.

I know I'm preaching to the choir...speaking of which, let's take this stuff about defensive injuries to the Mothership where people are actually reading!!!!The Coug-A-Sutrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11890686795098169533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6351948135288371093.post-4542809602886325882011-10-24T08:39:02.446-07:002011-10-24T08:39:02.446-07:00I was just looking over the 08 commits who should ...I was just looking over the 08 commits who should be the cornerstone of this d and a couple names jump out at me... Mckay, Daniels, Mathews, Bland.

Those 4 guys who were all derailed by injury would be the foundation of this D.Longballnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6351948135288371093.post-89699564412986131422011-10-24T08:28:52.279-07:002011-10-24T08:28:52.279-07:00You're right about McKay--everyone, including ...You're right about McKay--everyone, including Vince had him pegged from the get-go as a sure fire NFL prospect. What's more, its easy to forget how huge the loss of Aire Justin is right now--with him and Horton starting, we're almost serviceable back there.

But beyond that, when I look at our defensive performances against SDSU, Colorado (who is TERRIBLE), UCLA (who is NOT good), Stanford (who is GREAT), and Oregon State (improving), I see so many holes.

And just like you need to have significant pro-quality talent to make the NCAA's in hoops, you need NFL and CFL talent to make it to upper tier bowl games.

And outside of WR, quarterback, and Linebacker, I just don't see the talent. And as a result, I don't think we're going to be better than mediocre any time soon--even if we're LIGHT YEARS ahead of where we were two years ago (A doormat WAC team).

Finally, with a coaching change eminent, how are we going to get new horses--e.g. JC burners/bruisers in time to complement Tuel for his senior year? The Coug-A-Sutrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11890686795098169533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6351948135288371093.post-25654846519886845812011-10-24T08:03:39.146-07:002011-10-24T08:03:39.146-07:00Chris Ball has been the Teflon coordinator of this...Chris Ball has been the Teflon coordinator of this staff for a long time. Everyone loves bagging on Sturdy and when the defense failed miserably last year, everyone jumped on Sears. I will never understand it.

As far as recruiting, I will continue to defend this staff. The players they have assembled are night and day better than what was here when they arrived. The only position they have dropped the ball at was D-line, of course one of the most important. Then here I am in Logan UT watching one of their best D-tackle recruits play for the Aggies because the NCAA clearinghouse cant do their job in a timely manner EVER. I also think we shouldn't forget that Corey McKay was going to be an important piece for us at D-end. Other than that, this team has a lot of good and very young talent everywhere. Whoever the next coach is has the table set nicely and we should EXPECT a very nice bowl Holiday, or Alamo.Longballnoreply@blogger.com
